The colors represent the Upper Peninsula with the deep blue representing Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. The Green Represents the Wilderness of Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. The Gold represents the Agriculture of the region. The White background represents the harsh winters Superior goes through and has gone through throughout its history. The State seal is a Wendigo and would be the first Native American Legend and cryptid to be a State Seal in the U.S.
