✒️ The Philadelphia Pride Flag is an inclusive variation of the traditional rainbow pride flag, first introduced in 2017 by the city of Philadelphia in collaboration with the LGBTQ+ community. It features the classic six-color rainbow design with two additional stripes—black and brown—added above the red stripe to represent LGBTQ+ people of color and acknowledge their vital role and experiences within the broader queer movement. The flag was created as part of the "More Color More Pride" campaign to address issues of racism and promote greater inclusion within LGBTQ+ spaces. Since its debut, the Philadelphia Pride Flag has been widely adopted as a symbol of intersectional pride and solidarity.
