The “Oh Lawd He Treadin’” flag is a parody of the historic Gadsden flag, a prominent American political symbol dating to the American Revolutionary War. The design features a yellow field reminiscent of the original 1775 Gadsden banner, but replaces the coiled rattlesnake and the motto “Don’t Tread on Me” with a silhouetted, highly obese cat stepping on the snake.
