✒️ Kiell is a country located in central Merydion, neighbouring the Kriene to it's Northern Borders, Lisrenia to the west and Czonia to the east. Historically being the oldest nation-state on the continent, it rapidly expanded to become an Imperial powerhouse on the continent due to it's population and it's abundance in resources fueling it's industrial sector which would consolidate it's status as a regional power, revolving around the respect of imperial authority, traditions and pride in it's industry; seen as the main reasons of the nation's prosperity and above all, sovereignty. Kiell's will to protect it's resource rich core would translate in an aggressive behavior towards it's neighbors; willing to expand to create "buffer zones", changing hands in successive conflicts causing population shift and the spread of ethnic Kielt in neighboring nations, which would gradually shift those conflict's backgrounds from strategic to safeguarding it's culture and people as a whole; it's endurance morphed Kiell's culture with a sense of superiority over it's neighbors and growing trust in the imperial system which would translate in complacency within the system, as it always safeguarded Kiell. It's traditional beliefs would be shaken by the Empire's defeat in 1912 and subsequent collapse to an ultranationalist takeover in 1926, and it's complete shattering by it's defeat by the hands of it's neighbors it swore to wipe off the map in 1944. Now caught between it's past and the scrutiny of it's neighbors, Kiell has made it's best with the hand it's been given to redefine it's place in the world as a more cautious actor, taking precise steps in-between it's neighbors diplomatic blunders to appear as the more reasonable option.
