✒️ Joan of Arc, the iconic French heroine of the Hundred Years' War, famously carried a personal banner that became a symbol of her divine mission and the French cause. As described in her own words during her trial, this banner was made of white boccassin (a fine linen cloth), "sprinkled with lilies" (fleur-de-lis, the royal emblem of France).
