✒️ The Jewish Colonization Association (JCA) plan was a large-scale 19th-century project, founded by Baron Maurice de Hirsch, to relocate Eastern European Jews, primarily from Russia, to agricultural settlements in Argentina. The JCA aimed to rescue Jews from persecution by helping them escape to a new life as independent farmers. While the plan faced significant challenges and ultimately didn't resettle millions, it succeeded in establishing a number of Jewish agricultural communities and is considered a humanitarian success by some for providing an escape from difficult conditions in Russia
