The Roman Empire flag commonly associated with the acronym SPQR (Senatus Populusque Romanus) features a gold imperial eagle displayed on a deep red field, often framed by a laurel wreath and accompanied by Roman military symbols. The eagle, or aquila, was a central emblem of the Roman legions and symbolized power, authority, and divine favor.
