✒️ The flag of Laos features three horizontal stripes with a blue band between two red bands of equal size. Centered on the blue stripe is a large white circle symbolizing the unity of the Lao people under the country’s communist government, as well as the full moon over the Mekong River. The red stripes represent the blood shed for independence, while the blue stands for prosperity and wealth. Adopted on December 2, 1975, following the establishment of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the flag embodies national unity and the country’s socialist ideals.
