✒️ The flag of Iraq consists of three horizontal stripes of red, white, and black, from top to bottom, in the traditional Pan-Arab colours. Centered in the white band is the Takbir, the Arabic phrase Allahu Akbar ("God is Great"), written in green Kufic script. These colours and the inscription reflect Iraq’s Arab identity and Islamic faith. The current version of the flag was adopted on 22 January 2008, marking a departure from earlier versions used under previous regimes. The design symbolizes unity, sovereignty, and the nation's historical and cultural heritage.
