✒️ The flag of India, also known as the "Tiranga" (meaning "tricolour"), is a horizontal tricolour of deep saffron at the top, white in the middle, and India green at the bottom in equal proportions. In the centre of the white band is a navy blue Ashoka Chakra, a 24-spoke wheel representing the eternal wheel of law. The flag was adopted in its present form on 22 July 1947, shortly before India gained independence from British rule. It was designed by Pingali Venkayya and is based on the flag of the Indian National Congress. The saffron colour signifies courage and sacrifice, white denotes peace and truth, while green represents faith and chivalry. The Ashoka Chakra symbolizes the dynamic movement and progress of the nation.
