✒️ The Buddhist Flag is a modern symbol of faith and unity among Buddhists worldwide, first designed in Sri Lanka in 1885 and officially adopted by the World Fellowship of Buddhists in 1952. The flag features six vertical bands: blue, yellow, red, white, and orange, followed by a sixth band comprising a combination of the first five colors, representing the aura said to have radiated from the Buddha after his enlightenment. Each color symbolizes a specific virtue or aspect of Buddhist teachings, such as wisdom, compassion, and purity. The flag is widely displayed during Vesak and other religious observances, serving as a unifying emblem across diverse Buddhist traditions.
