a modern flag design based on the historical symbol of the Iron Front (Eiserne Front), a German anti-Nazi, anti-monarchist, and anti-communist organization active during the final years of the Weimar Republic. The original symbol, known as the Three Arrows (Drei Pfeile), was designed in 1931 by Sergei Chakhotin and Carlo Mierendorff for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). The three arrows were created to easily cover Nazi swastikas and symbolized the social democratic struggle against its three primary enemies: the Nazi Party (NSDAP), the Communist Party of Germany (KPD), and the reactionary monarchists. The Iron Front sought to defend liberal democracy from totalitarian ideologies on both the far-right and far-left.

The flag shown is a contemporary American adaptation of this symbol, created by a group identified as the "American Iron Front." It retains the iconic three arrows striking down enemy symbols, including the swastika, to represent a continued struggle against authoritarianism. The design is updated with English text, stating the group's opposition to "Fascism, Racism and Inequality" and its mission to "Fight for Your Rights." This modern usage reflects the symbol's adoption by contemporary anti-fascist and anti-racist movements, which have repurposed the historical emblem to confront what they identify as modern threats to democracy and human rights.
